Paxmead Residential Centre is a modern, well-equipped building catering for all your needs. The building comfortably sleeps up to 30 individuals and can have a further 60 camping in the grounds.

Accommodation
The spacious main dormitory sleeps 24 in wooden bunk beds with mattresses.
Two additional rooms can each sleep 3, ideal for adult bedrooms.
Facilities
The large washroom for the dormitory contains 2 hand basins, 2 cubicle toilets, 2 showers and changing area. There is also a self-contained, accessible toilet and hand basin.
An additional accessible toilet and shower room is accessed from the hallway and is often allocated as a leaders bathroom.
Kitchen
The kitchen is fully equipped including two cookers large fridge, separate freezer and a microwave.
There is cutlery, crockery, utensils, large pans and roasting trays for large scale group catering.
Main hall
The large, well-lit hall is a spacious gathering area and has ample tables and chairs for large groups.
The main doors open out onto the grassy outdoor area that wraps around the building.
Grounds & parking
There is plenty of grassy space around the residential house to play. There are free activity boxes and a traversing wall to keep groups entertained.
River access is via a well-secured gate, should you wish explore the towpath or have booked a paddlesport session.
Visitors are welcome to use the campfire circle and brick barbecue.
A separated car parking area is provided next to the centre with easy access to the building via the disabled ramps.
Shared use
Please note that residential groups do not have exclusive use of the site as other groups may require access to the river.
The outside toilet block may be used by Paxmead staff , the paddlesport team and paddlesport participants.
Small Duke of Edinburgh groups may also camp within the grounds at weekends, you will be notified at time of booking if other groups are on site.
Paxmead Shop
A variety of items are stocked, including badges, stationery items and a range of Paxmead souvenirs – all of which are for sale at reasonable ‘pocket money’ prices.
The shop is run by volunteers and is usually open from 16:00 – 17:00 on Saturdays.
