We want to encourage the next generation of paddlers. As Paddle UK Gold delivery partners we are able to provide Paddle Awards for Girlguiding members. There are 3 levels of award allowing participants to progress their skills.
Paddle Start Award – 11+
This is a fun and enjoyable practical session, introducing you to paddlesport. At Paxmead, these are a single evening session open to girls aged 11+. We have 2 kayak evenings and 2 stand-up paddleboard session available. Each course has up to 12 participants.

Paddle Discover Awards – 12+
This course is designed to look at the next steps to becoming an independent paddler, for a fun and safe time on the water. Developing an understanding of the factors which affect your paddling; developing your decision making and practical skills, giving you confidence on the water. It is run over 2 evenings and a full day. There are 12 spaces available.

Explore Award – 13+
This is an in depth course requiring 12 hours on the water. It is aimed at those with previous paddling experience wishing to become independent on the water or to begin thinking about becoming an instructor (age 14+).
