Would you like to make new friends, meet up with old friends and do something worthwhile with your spare time?
Paxmead is a wonderful resource for our young members. Set alongside the Thames in Shepperton, it continues to offer wonderful opportunities for both young and older alike.
Our role
We support the Paxmead Management Committee with events for our young members at our annual Water Fun Day for Guides and Senior Section, and Fun Days for Brownies and Rainbows. You could get involved with running an activity, helping to set up, or even by keeping the kettles hot to keep our wonderful leaders refreshed.
Socials, events & volunteer days
You can enjoy social occasions for yourself, your friends and family, at our regular events for ‘Friends’, or use your skills to improve our facilities at our monthly service days. You could help us host corporate visitors whilst they volunteer their time and efforts during frequent corporate work days.
You could be less physically involved, but equally as important, by becoming a ‘behind the scenes’ member, knowing that your financial support will enable the centre to continue its good work whilst receiving regular updates on our progress.
We have plans to improve on-site facilities to enable more boating activities to take place, whilst enhancing the residential facilities of the base.
